Lunch prices on the rise again in Williamsburg
Williamsburg James City County parents: in addition to sending your children to school Tuesday with new pens, pencils, binders and book bags, don’t forget to line their pockets with little extra cash.
School lunch prices are on the rise again in the division’s 15 schools. Last month, the School Board approved a 5 cent hike in meal prices to cover the growing cost of food.
Lunch for elementary and middle schools will cost $2.05 and $2.15, respectively. High School students will pay between $2.30 and $3.05 for lunch. The price of milk has risen to 55 cents.
Students aren’t the only one’s paying more for lunch; adult meals prices, which are a la carte, will be raised slightly.
